The HSYC allows for same-day cat adoptions after having one on one conversations with potential adopters.

However, the HSYC does not allow for same day DOG adoptions. This is to ensure the dog is going to the right home, best suited for them. Our dog adoption policy requires up to or more than 3 visits. (each situation different from the next) These visits allow for us to see how you interact with the dog, and how the dog responds to you. The other visits allows for your potential family member to meet other dogs or humans they may regularly see. To the best of our ability, we want to ensure the dog will have a forever home and not end up back in a shelter or in the wrong home.

If interested in adopting a dog during this event, we ask that you come in at least one week prior. There are no guarantees.
